You always want what you don't have...

...like straight hair. Syd is always begging me to straighten her hair. I made the mistake of doing it once when we were playing beauty shop and now she asks me all the time. She talks about how she wishes her hair was straight so when she brushes it there won't be tangles...
Then there is me, who hopes Haley (my hair-dresser) will offer to curl my hair when I get it done because I have always wanted some sort of curl in my hair since it is straight as a board.... You always do want what you don't have.
I LOVE Sydnee's curls more then anything but it is fun to see her with it straightened. She looks like a different person to me. Her curly hair is so "her" so it is strange when it is not there!

Who?

I have been asked a thousand times who Annie looks like...Gabe or Syd (as if they are her parents) ? So, you be the judge. Here they all are at 7 weeks. I have to say, in these particular pictures, she looks more like Sydnee then she actually does. I think she looks more like Gabe did (not as much in these pictures). I also think she is a good mix of them both...

Gabe...
Annie...
Sydnee...

Multitasking

Gabe holding Annie while reading to Sydnee....I mean it's not standing up nursing while cooking dinner and helping with homework but he's gettin' there!

4 weeks

I feel like she looks older it these pics then she does in real life. She is still tiny and isn't smiling yet..she sort of looks like she is getting ready to in these pics. I just snapped them at the right time!
We have a changing pad on the washing machine so we don't have to go upstairs to her room every time to change her diaper...lazy I know! But she loves it there. She would lay there forever staring at the wall! I call it her happy place so this is where most of her pics are taken, I realize now that I really need to put a blanket over the knobs on the washing machine or I am going to have them in the back ground of every picture!!!

2 Weeks!

Well we have made it 2 weeks as a family of 5. Gabe and Syd have done WAY better then I even expected and I expected them to do well.... They aren't jealous or acting out at all. They LOVE her and love holding her. Sydnee is obsessed with poop. She wants to change EVERY diaper with me and if I do it with out her she wants me to re-open the diaper so she can see the poop. Weird!

Annie was exactly back up to her birth weight at her 2 week appt...so I was glad about that!!!

I change my mind every day about who she is looking like. I actually think she is a good mixture of Gabe & Sydnee (comparing to their new born pics). I cant wait to see what kind of personally she has cause Gabe & Syd are total opposites!

I could not imagine what having another baby girl would be like but now it feels so normal I cant imagine us without her!

Ready for her 1st trip to church where she slept the whole time...we didn't even take her out of the carrier. Not the best pics of Annie but the colors look so pretty...

A 1st grader and a Pre-K"er"

And to think I would have missed this day if I would have had Annie on her scheduled day for delivery....I'm so glad it worked out for me to take these excited kiddos to their first day of school. I CAN NOT believe Syd is at a big school. She is a whole year younger then Gabe was when he started Pre-K so it just seems like she is too little! But if you could see how excited she is to go and how excited she is to tell me all about it when she gets home you would agree she was READY for it!

And Gabe is going to school all day for the first time. He was WORN out the first day but seemed to be a little better the 2nd day. Hopefully this week of a full week he will get totally used to it!!! Oh and I wanted to mention he was so irritated with me for making him "dress up". Yep, he considers this t-shirt and jean shorts "dressy". I'm afraid to think what he might say when I make him put on a collared shirt for picture day. Welcome to life with a 1st grade boy I guess!!!
