Cubies

Well another baseball season came to an end! It is amazing how much progress these boys have made! They went from hitting off a tee to hitting off a pitching machine pitching 40mph back in the fall. It was a big, and tough, transition!
I was so proud of Gabe the last game. He got nailed in the chin playing second base fielding a hard ground ball. He got quite a bump/cut/bruise! He stayed in the game and got a hit and made another play after it happened!
I'm also proud of Gabe for being the competitor he is. As most people know, Gabe lives and breaths basketball. He is really good too, if I do say so myself. He has never been the best at balancing two different things. He gets stuck on something and sticks with JUST that! But he hung in there with baseball and really got better and started to really like it, especially the games! He didn't like loosing, that sort of bothered him, but he loved the competition! He always tried his best, ran his fastest, hustled and listened to his coaches. That's all we could ask for!!!
Don't get me wrong though, he still would come home after the games and take a few jump shots outside in his Cubs uniform!
Now on to basketball camps! One already down this summer and another one this week!

My semi-toothless, just turned 7 year old entered into 1st grade... Now he is my grown-up toothed, almost 8 year old NBA lovin' fool, ready for 2nd grade...
And my sweet little baby-faced, curly headed 4 year old was going into Pre-K!
Now she is my beautiful, side pony tail, feather hair extension wearing 5 year old who thinks she is 12!!
These 2 have grown up too much in the past 9 months it is crazy!
But these 2 kiddos are ready for a fun summer!!!!
Oh and here is my little 10 day old Annie on the first day of school...
And now she is my angel faced, 2 toothed, crawling little 9 and a half month old who is ready for some fun!!!

Multi-Cultural Program

My mom (who taught music for 34 years) and the unbelievably talented Gena and Erick Alexander did an AWESOME Multi-Cultural Program for Gabe, Syd and Raegan's school today (for the 2nd year in a row)... It was so good I think they need to start a Elementary School tour!!! Seriously!!!

I love it also because I remember when I was in elementary school and my mom would come to do a program and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I love that my kids are getting to experience the same thing!!!

Today was EXTRA special because Syd (who is in Pre-K) got up in front of the whole school and played the ukulele and sang! I was so proud of her!!!

Gabe is the shy one but he wanted in on the action too and did a great job!!

My video camera messed up right when Raegan played her violin. She did so awesome I wish I had it on video.
Here are a couple more songs ( I wish I could post them all)...

My mom is in heaven with these two...she's ready to go on the road!

March

I warned you that I am TERRIBLE at blogging. So now I have a whole month to catch up on... I like to do it it pictures... We started March (and end of Feb) off with a trip to Breckenridge with our good friends Justin and Alysia. Kids stayed at home... It was a much needed little get away! We lucked out with the perfect weather too! Me and Alysia on our deck... Downtown Breckenridge...
Ready to go...
Wrong wife... Rob and Alysia...
Wrong husband... Me and Justin...
Out to eat..

It was BEAUTIFUL!

Then we came home to OUR NEW NEPHEWS we hadn't met yet since they were living in Brazil! FINALLY we got to see those precious boys!!

Then we took a girls trip to Tulsa with our friends Sara and Luci to celebrate my moms birthday.. We spent all of it in Anthropologie (MY FAVORITE STORE)...
And went to see Beauty and the Beast! We had a BLAST!
Annie started sitting up finally!
Syd had an adorable little dance recital! As wild and jerky as this child is she is actually very graceful when dancing! I was impressed!

More Graham and Gibson time...
Spring break we headed to the zoo with the rest of Oklahoma...
Then us girls headed down to Louisiana with my mom and dad to see my brother, sister-n-law and niece Sarah. It was her 1st birthday so we HAD to help her celebrate!

Syd was so happy to see her cousin!
Baking the cupcakes....
Sydnee got to decorate her own cake with all the leftover decorations. It was HILARIOUS! She used everything we had left and took it VERY seriously! She had listened to Aunt Julie say how nervous she was decorating Sarah's cake so the whole time she was saying "This is so nervousing"! IT WAS SO FUNNY!
Finished product...Yes there is cake under all those sprinkles...
Sarah opening her random decorated piece of wood that Sydnee made for her. Don't you guys give one year olds pieces of wood?
An attempt to get a pic with the girls...
Sarah was a pro at eating her cake!
THANK GOODNESS for the DVD player on the way home. We were making great time till we hit Dallas. It took us 5 1/2 hours to get home from Dallas. Just a lovely 13 hour trip home!
Annie got a break from her car seat when we were in the stand still traffic!

Then this past weekend we took the kids to the Thunder Kids Club Spring Event at the Science Museum. I don't know if you know my son is OBSESSED with the Thunder and NBA basketball. He can seriously talk basketball with ANYONE!

They were in heaven!

The highlight was getting to play pop a shot with Serge Ibaka... Dream come true for this kid...

Serge just kept watching Syd not make it to the basket...
So he picked her up to help her out! SO CUTE!!!! She said that he said "I push you" in her ear.
Thabo Sefolosha and James Hardin were there too. They got a pic with Hardin again and Gabe got a high five from Sefolosha.

It was so fun to see how happy they were!

Well that about covers March.

See ya in another month...hopefully!
